MOVING TO LOSSIEMOUTH WITH YOUR CHILDREN?  ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IS RIGHT HERE!

A CAREER IN EDUCATION OR EARLY YEARS

Scotland does have different professional bodies for some professions which historically didn’t accept qualifications from elsewhere in the UK.  This is rapidly changing and whilst some qualifications require a short period of re-training on Scottish specific elements, it doesn’t act as a barrier to immediate employment.  Moray Council will employ a teachers qualified elsewhere and support them through the registration process.  From entry level to school leadership positions, there is no shortage of vacancies and the area welcomes the fresh perspective and new ideas the wider Armed Forces family bring to school settings.

All Moray Council vacancies can be found on Home | myjobscotland or via www.forcesfamiliesjobs.co.uk

£370k funding secured to support Forces Children in Moray Schools

RAF Lossiemouth led the project, with assistance from Moray Council and 39 Engineer Regiment (Kinloss Barracks).

An initiative between RAF Lossiemouth, 39 Engineer Regiment and Moray Council secured £370k in charitable funding to establish a dedicated support network for Forces children in the region’s schools.

The cash has been awarded to Moray’s Dandelion Project by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund, which supports the Armed Forces community.

RAF Lossiemouth has really made being a dual working family easy.  Beaches, forest walks and mountain bikes trails are on your doorstep and the camp has an indoor soft play facility for rainy days.  We also have a great childcare centre on camp.

I’ve also found the medical services within Moray more accessible for my kids compared to Lincoln.  This has added to my reasons for staying here for as long as possible.  It really is a different way of life up here.
