Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy team are on hand to provide support for the Service community. A small team of Padres support Station personnel and their families, provide spiritual guidance and hold events, training and group meetings in St Aidan’s.  For information about service times and events contact the Chaplains’ Clerk:

SOLDIERS’, SAILORS’ AND AIRMEN’S FAMILIES ASSOCIATION (SSAFA) RAF LOSSIEMOUTH

SSAFA Personal Support & Social Work Service RAF is contracted by the MOD to provide welfare support to all serving personnel (regular and reserves) and their families. Teams of specialist Personal & Family Support Workers and Social Workers are located on stations in the RAF community throughout the UK.

Their service is confidential and independent from the Chain of Command. It is the aim of their service to support you to enhance personal welfare, maintain family stability and empower you to access the support networks you are entitled to.

Their service can support you with a range of issues including addiction & dependency, child support, financial, housing, mental health, personal support, physical health and relationships.

Anyone can refer themselves to SSAFA. You can contact their service calling 03000 111 723/01343 817076 or by visiting St Aidan’s Community Support Centre.

Personal Support Team

The Personal Support Team provide a range of support to Service personnel and their families such as periods of Long Term Sick, emergencies, compassionate, and victims of crime. The list is endless and the Team have and will continue to support Service personnel and their families through a range of different scenarios that might be experienced.

The Team can be found in St Aidan’s Community Support Centre.
