Video Transcript – Luke Arpino, SAC(T) talks about why he changed his mind on life at Lossiemouth
“I’m Luke Arpino, stationed at RAF Lossiemouth. I didn’t want to come to RAF Lossiemouth. I put it as a negative choice when I left RAF St Athen, my phase 2 training. I believed that it was too far from home, far from friends, far from everything I knew. I believed that it was in the middle of nowhere, however that’s not true. There’s tonnes to do up here and I really enjoy it. These videos are a chance for you to see what Lossie has to offer.
First impressions were that it was a really nice camp. Good social, and plenty of activity, and there’s a good coastal route down the road that’s fantastic, I really use that a lot. Transport back down south is actually really easy and you get days back for travel.
What I love about life at Lossie is the social aspect. There’s plenty of people here. There’s plenty of pubs and restaurants. I can do all my hobbies and interests up here, such as Cricket, Football and Gliding. Looking back I wish I didn’t put it as a negative choice, and just gone head first into it. I wish I’d had the chance to see what Lossie was like. There are plenty of opportunities up here. Start a new chapter of your life!”
